* Alien vegetation, such as Port Jackson, wattle, and pine, are a major drain on South Africa's biodiversity, agriculture, and water supply. 

* Removing these alien plants costs South Africa around R2 billion a year. 

* But in the area surrounding Cape St Francis in the Eastern Cape, an army of goats are being deployed to munch all alien plants in their path. 

*This practise has been used in California and Australia to minimise the risk of runaway wildfires.

Many of the new blockbuster drugs that are used as cancer treatments are more expensive than older medicines, because they are complex proteins called monoclonal antibodies that are complicated to make.
