The higher education community in Sudan has fiercely criticised the actions of the country’s military leader, Lieutenant-General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, to replace the presidents of 30 public universities and dissolve their councils. Eight new vice-presidents were also appointed.
Sudan has 38 public higher education institutions.
