Sweden’s new migration act will negatively impact the country’s research capability and cause long-term harm to its ability to attract international talent, the unions representing Swedish teachers, researchers and students argue.
In a commentary piece published in the major Swedish newspaper Svenska Dagbladet, they warn that the new migration rules, set out in the law passed by parliament on 22 June, could cause a brain drain.
